30. Lieut.-Commander Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether it is his intention, at an early date, to lay before Parliament a draft order or a report in accordance with Section 14 of the Housing (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act, 1946.

Mr. Westwood

I am at present carrying out the review of contributions provided for in the Section referred to, and hope to arrange an early meeting with the associations of local authorities on the matter. I will announce the result of the review immediately a decision is reached.

Is that likely to be before the Easter Recess?

I cannot fix a date, but it will be as soon as possible.
