HC Deb 10 March 1947 vol 434 cc954-5
59. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Minister of Agriculture what action he is taking with the Prime Minister to ensure that agricultural workers can obtain, in view of the nature and conditions of their work, the same access to incentives to produce as do the miners.

Mr. T. Williams

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given by the Prime Minister to the Question by the hon. Member for Canterbury (Mr. Baker White) on this subject on 6th March.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman to draw the attention of the Prime Minister to the fact that, unless something drastic is done soon to produce more food in this country, many people will be past the need for coal?
