§ Mr. MayhewNo final decision has yet been reached as to the completion of the Hamburg Project. The main work is at present in suspense because it is not possible to allot the necessary priority for the provision of the materials and labour involved. Work is still proceeding to protect the foundations which have been laid. The cost to date is approximately 29,000,000 Reichsmarks.
§ Mr. BoothbyArising out of that, would not the hon. Gentleman think it better to abandon this project finally, instead of wasting any more money ?
§ Mr. MayhewThe final decision has not yet been taken. However, the only work 24 going on is to protect the foundations so that eventual completion will make this building of service.
