References in this Section to the conditions of service of persons employed as aforesaid include references to welfare arrangements for such persons.The hon. Member for Westbury (Mr. Grimston) will recollect that in Standing Committee an Amendment was moved to ensure that among the points to be considered should be welfare arrangements. I gave a promise that, 1385 at this stage of the Bill, I would move an Amendment to ensure that that should be done, and I hope the words of the Amendment fully carry out the pledge which I gave.
§ Mr. GrimstonI am obliged to the right hon. Gentleman. It appears to me that this Amendment fully carries out the pledge which he gave with regard to welfare arrangements in connection with an Amendment which was moved by my right hon. Friend the Member for Southport (Mr. R. S. Hudson).
