asked the Secretary of State for War the monthly rate of voluntary recruitment to the Army during the second quarter of 1947.

Figures for June are not yet available. Approximate totals for April and May are 3,600 and 3,400 respectively. Quarterly figures are placed in the Vote Office by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Defence as they become available.
