HC Deb 02 July 1947 vol 439 cc1303-4
33. Brigadier Rayner

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware of the rapid deterioration of the radar station at Start Point: and whether, in view of this deterioration and the injury caused by the station to local amenities, he will arrange for its early removal.

The Secretary of State for Air (Mr. Philip Noel-Baker)

I am happy to inform the hon. and gallant Member that arrangements are now being made for dismantling the station at Start Point. I am consulting with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Works and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Supply about the removal of the mast and of the huts.
