HC Deb 30 January 1947 vol 432 c1106
44. Sir Patrick Hannon

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the result of the proceedings of the Committee of Inquiry appointed to consider amendment of the Shops Acts for stabilising early closing hours; and if any legislation is contemplated to give effect to the recommendations of the Committee.

Mr. Ede

I understand that the committee's report on closing hours of shops will probably be in my hands this week, but I have not yet received it.
