HC Deb 29 January 1947 vol 432 c938
53. Viscount Hinchingbrooke

asked the Minister of Defence whether he intends to secure, where practicable, joint user of military training areas in order to relieve the heavy demands now being made by the separate Service Departments on productive land and potential national parks.

Mr. Alexander

Yes, Sir. This point is being closely watched in the general examination of training land requirements which is now proceeding.

Viscount Hinchingbrooke

When shall we get the results of the right hon. Gentleman's affirmative reply working out on the ground? There is no sign of it yet.

Mr. Alexander

A special body is looking into the matter now.
