Mr. Creech JonesThe proposed constitutional arrangements for Mauritius were made known to the Council of Government of the Colony on 29th of October last and I await the Governor's report on the outcome of the subsequent local deliberations regarding them. I am, therefore, not yet in a position to make a statement.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerWill the Secretary of State expedite a report on this matter as three months have now passed since it was first raised?
Mr. Creech JonesThe matter is being considered locally. I will do what is possible, because I am anxious to get ahead with this Constitution.
