HC Deb 24 February 1947 vol 433 c1677
24. Medlicott

asked the Minister of Transport what amount of revenue it is estimated will be lost by the London Passenger Transport Board in the next full financial year by reason of the limitations placed on the number of standing passengers in omnibuses.

Mr. Barnes

I am informed that it is not possible to estimate the effect, if any, of the limitation. The Board considers that the reduction in the number of standing passengers at peak hours and the prohibition at other times has resulted in improved fare collection.
