HC Deb 17 February 1947 vol 433 cc785-6
71. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Transport whether a standard type of hook for carrying bicycles from the roof of luggage vans, of a type similar to that already adopted in France and Belgium, can be introduced on British railways.

Mr. Barnes

The railway companies inform me that they have already considered the provision of special fittings for bicycles in passenger brake vans, but do not consider that they would be justified.
