Lords Amendment:
In page 1, line 16, leave out "subparagraph (ii)" and insert "subparagraph (i)
§ 9.41 p.m.
§ The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Ede)I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."
483 This is little more than a correction of a printing error. But it does show the danger, which the hon. Member for Twickenham (Mr. Keeling) has so often pointed out, of reprinting an amending Schedule at the end of a Bill, because people read that rather than the text of the Bill, and in this small particular the Bill was wrongly printed. This is to ensure that the Schedule which was attached to the end of the Bill shall be the law of the land, when this Bill becomes law.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
