asked the Minister of Food what quantity of copra and coconut oil he has purchased from Malaya during each of the last convenient six months and the prices paid.

As the reply involves a table of figures, I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Is the Minister aware that there are very considerable supplies of copra available in Malaya if he will take adequate steps to obtain it?

Mr. Strachey

We are obtaining supplies from Malaya to the maximum possible extent.
