§ 2. Mr. Dyeasked the Minister of Education whether all children who attain the age of 14 years by 31st March will be able to leave school by the end of the term that finishes at Easter, 1947.
§ Mr. TomlinsonA child who attains the age of 14 during a school term is deemed by reason of Section 8 (1) of the Education Act, 1946, not to have attained that age until the end of the term. Any child attaining the age of 14 during a school term which ends on or after 1st April next will have to remain at school to the end of the term in which he or she attains the age of 15.
