HC Deb 06 February 1947 vol 432 c1939
12. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Moore

asked the Minister of Health what progress he is making in his negotiations with the B.M.A. in regard to the administration of the National Health Service Act.

Mr. Bevan

I have invited the negotiating committee to meet me, and I am awaiting their reply.

Sir T. Moore

Is the right hon. Gentleman satisfied that the leaders of the three professional organisations represent the bulk of the British Medical Association members?

Mr. Bevan

I think that it would be impudent as well as imprudent on my part to express an opinion on the heads of the medical profession.

Sir T. Moore

That is a change of heart.
