HC Deb 05 February 1947 vol 432 cc1755-6
30. Colonel J. R. H. Hutchison

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation whether he will now make available the recommendations of the Scottish Advisory Council to B.E.A. and B.O.A.C.

Mr. Lindgren

Under its terms of reference the Scottish Advisory Council advises the three corporations, though it has the right of direct access to my noble Friend if necessary. The Council's recommendations are thus made normally direct to the chairman of British European Airways, who refers to the other corporations any matters concerning them. My noble Friend has no recommendations from the Council to refer to the corporations.
