§ 68. Mr. Dyeasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has been able to secure the better agricultural use of the land previously used for bomb-aiming by the R.A.F. at Saham Grove, Norfolk.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsThis range is scheduled by the Air Ministry as a permanent requirement and is shortly to be considered by the Inter-departmental Committee on Services' Land Requirements. Meanwhile, however, it has been made available for agricultural use, and arrangements have been made for the land to be drained and cultivated, bombing having rendered it unfit for grazing.
§ Mr. DyeIs my right hon. Friend aware that this is high-class land, and that it ought to be released for agricultural purposes straight away?
§ Mr. WilliamsI would not object to that happening myself, but, unfortunately. the Royal Air Force think otherwise.
