26. Mr. John E. Haire

asked the Minister of Food if he will make facilities to enable British Restaurants to organise mobile meals services.

Mr. Strachey

I am willing to consider requests from Civic Restaurants or any one else for licences to operate mobile meals services where a genuine need can be shown.

Mr. Haire

Would my right hon. Friend encourage local authorities to make these applications by drawing their attention to those successful schemes which are in operation at the moment?

Mr. Strachey

I hope my hon. Friend's Question will serve that purpose.
