§ 17. Mr. Sparksasked the Minister of Works if he will introduce a system of priorities in the distribution of zinc sheets, in view of the fact that supplies are limited and are not, under present arrangements, always used for the most urgent purposes or distributed fairly.
§ Mr. KeyThe shortage of zinc sheets is not so acute that I should feel justified in imposing restrictions at this juncture, but if my hon. Friend can give me any instances of urgent work being held up I will have them investigated.
§ Mr. SparksIs the Minister aware that the only persons who seem to be able to get supplies of zinc sheets are those on terms of good personal relationship with the manufacturers, and who purchased from them before the war; and that other people are finding great difficulty in getting the necessary supplies?
