§ Mr. T. WilliamsExpenditure by local education authorities on instruction in the utilisation of home-produced food, including the appointment of rural domestic economy instructresses, was grant-aided by my Department up to 31st March, 1947, when responsibility passed to the Ministry of Education. Instruction was provided by authorities as part of their general provision for agricultural education ranking for grant from my Department and no separate figures of the expenditure involved are available.
