Mr. Beechmanasked the Minister of Agriculture what steps he is taking to conduct research into the breeding grounds and migration of fish normally caught by our fishermen in our home waters, so that an information service can be instituted for the benefit of fishermen, with a view to increasing home production.

WilliamsA programme of research, correlated with the work of other countries through the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, has been put into operation and its scope will be widened as additional personnel can be recruited. The results are announced as they become available and it is hoped to extend this service.
