HC Deb 23 April 1947 vol 436 cc1023-4
40. Mr. Baldwin

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether it is now possible to derequisition the huts outside the old disused railway tunnel at Colwall, in order that the local council may use them for temporary housing in this overcrowded district.

Mr. W. Edwards

I understand that the hon. Member has in mind two huts erected during the war by the Admiralty at the entrance to the tunnel on land requisitioned from the Great Western Railway. I am examining the possibility of surrendering these huts for housing purposes and I will write to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
