65. Mr. Beswick

asked the Minister of Works whether his Department, or the local authority, gave the licence for 1,198 of reconstruction work on the property The Headlands, Moor Road, West Didsbury; and whether this is a usual amount for such reconstruction work on a private house.

Mr. Key

The licence was issued by the local authority. The amount of the licence was agreed by the local authority after inspection and was the minimum considered necessary having regard to the size and condition of the property.
