HC Deb 17 April 1947 vol 436 c316
Colonel J. R. H. Hutchison

asked the President of the Board of Trade what value of electric transformers have been exported to Poland during 1947 to date; and what further contracts remain to be fulfilled.

Sir S. Cripps

No electric transformers have been exported to Poland in 1947; I am informed that there are no contracts outstanding.

Colonel Hutchison

Will the right hon. and learned Gentleman see that exports of this kind do not in fact take place until our own requirements are met?

Sir S. Cripps

We certainly shall not export what we require here.
