asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the number of, and aggregate sum involved in, offers for sale to the public effected within the scope of Stock Exchange Regulations since 16th July, 1946; and if he will give particular totals of the numbers and sums involved in respect of those covering the capital goods industries, consumer goods industries and services, excluding the entertainment industry, and the entertainment industry, respectively.
