HC Deb 31 October 1946 vol 428 cc783-4
63. Mr. Austin

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give an assurance that in no circumstances will entry to this country of persons tried as war criminals such as Von Papen, Schacht and Fritsche be allowed.

Mr. Ede

I should require to be satisfied that there were the most imperative reasons in the national interest for their admission before I agreed to the entry to this country of any of the persons named.
