HC Deb 29 October 1946 vol 428 c445
56. Mr. Longden

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if his attention has been called to the hardships being undergone by elderly individuals, with low incomes, in consequence of the loss of their cottages, or other small properties, during the war; and, as these people cannot afford to wait indefinitely for war damage recompense, in either cash or rebuilding, if he will reconsider the whole matter and make an early statement.

Mr. Dalton

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 10th October to the hon. Member for Cheltenham (Mr. Lipson).
