asked the Minister of Transport the number of women employed by the four main line railway companies at 1st October, 1945, and the number employed at 1st October, 1946.

Mr. Barnes

The number of women employed by the four main line railway companies, was 95,061 on 30th September, 1945, and 58,085 on 30th September, 1946.
