§ 88. Mr. Charles Smithasked the Minister of Health whether he will give an undertaking that before any families of members of the Polish Resettlement Corps are accommodated in redundant service camps the local authorities will have prior notice; and that any local authority which will be responsible for providing services of any kind to these families will have the opportunity of expressing its views upon the effect which additional population in the area will have.
§ Mr. R. J. Taylor (Lord of the Treasury)I have been asked to reply. As the personnel of the Polish Resettlement Corps are at present under the administrative control of the War Department, and their families are to be housed 295 in War Department retained camps, the question as to the use of redundant service camps does not arise.
