§ 8. Mr. Peter Freemanasked the Minister of Health whether he will make arrangements to give details of the housing accommodation position in camps in his monthly report.
§ Mr. BevanI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. and gallant Member for East Renfrew (Major Lloyd) on 17th October, of which I am sending him a copy.
§ Mr. FreemanWill the Minister analyse those details in Appendix B, and show in which areas the available camps are situated?
§ Mr. BevanIf I extended Appendix B much further, not only would it be out of date, but it might never be published.
§ Mr. David RentonWill the Minister consider giving these figures in a separate document, because we shall certainly need to know them sooner or later?
§ Mr. BevanThere is no desire on my part to hide the figures, but I think hon. Members must have regard to the fact that at no time in the history of this country have more detailed figures about housing been given than at the present time, and we are really imposing a great burden upon those who have to collect these statistics all the while.
§ 21. Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Health whether he will send to the hon. Member for Stafford a copy of the letter which notified his Department's offer of specific huts on Hixon airfield for emergency housing and requested the Council's decision.
