asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the present salary of the Governor of the Bank of England; how much he receives annually as expenses; and how these amounts compare with what he received prior to the nationalisation of the Bank.

Mr. Dalton

As before nationalisation, so now, the Governor draws a salary of £2,000 a year, subject to tax. and no expenses.
