HC Deb 16 October 1946 vol 427 c875
9. Major Legge-Bourke

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how it is that known terrorist leaders in Palestine are able to arrive in Paris.

Mr. Creech Jones

I am not in a position to control the arrival in Paris of terrorist leaders who may evade the frontier control in Palestine.

Major Legge-Bourke

Would the Minister say whether it was known in Palestine that the leader of the Stern Gang had got out, and if it is known where he now is?

Mr. Creech Jones

I am not in a position to answer that question today.

Sir W. Smithers

Will the Minister inquire whether passports for these terrorists are being obtained through the good offices of U.N.R.R.A.?
