Resolution reported: That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide for the erection in Grosvenor Square, in the City of Westminster, of a statue of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of the expenses incurred by the Minister of Works in—

  1. (a) erecting and maintaining the said statue and laying out and maintaining the said Square as a garden; and
  2. (b) paying compensation in respect of the extinguishment of rights to use and enjoy the said Square,
save in so far as those expenses are defrayed out of any fund raised under the auspices of the Pilgrims Society.
