I rise, with your permission, Mr. Speaker, to call attention to an error in the OFFICIAL REPORT, an error which I have already brought to your notice privately. In the OFFICIAL REPORT for Tuesday, 19th November, column 761, I am represented as having taken part in a certain Division. I did not take part in that Division; indeed, it was not possible for me to be in the House at all on the day in question. I have no doubt that the circumstances will be inquired into, and the necessary correction made. My purpose in rising is merely to ensure all possible publicity being given to this correction.
§ Mr. SpeakerI am obliged to the right hon. Gentleman. I had a letter from him this morning. I have looked into the matter, and it will be rectified. No doubt the right hon. Gentleman's statement today will give proper publicity to it.
