55. Mr. Hurd

asked the Minister of Labour how many skilled building operatives are still serving in the Armed Forces; and how many of these are likely to be released before April, 1947.

It is estimated that the total is about 25,000, of whom more than 7,000 are likely to be released before April, 1947.
