asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation during the present Session to improve the procedure for enforcing Scottish orders for the payment of alimony in England and vice versa.

I regret not being able to reply in the affirmative.

Does not the right hon. Gentleman remember that on 18th October, 1945, he told the House that legislation was under consideration, and cannot he do something to expedite action in this matter which affects quite a lot of people?
