HC Deb 20 November 1946 vol 430 cc826-7
7. Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what representations have been made by his Department to the Canadian Government in respect of the rates of postage charged on parcels dispatched from Canada to the United Kingdom.

Mr. Burke

My Department has suggested a modification of the present exceptional accounting arrangements between the United Kingdom and Canadian Post Offices with a view to a possible reduction in the postage rates. I will let the hon. Member know the result in due course.
