HC Deb 04 November 1946 vol 428 c1049
53. Mr. Birch

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether representatives of business concerns in Belgium, Holland and Scandinavia are allowed to enter the British zone in Germany.

Mr. J. Hynd

Yes, Sir, though the numbers are at present limited.

Mr. Birch

Will the hon. Gentleman bear in mind that, if German business men are not allowed to go abroad, it is essential that other business men should be allowed to go in?

Mr. Hynd

We are very conscious of that fact and we are, under arrangement with the American zone, examining the possibility of further extensions to the facilities already provided.
