The Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Oliver)

I beg to move, in page 3, line 1, at the beginning, to insert: [(5) A licensing planning committee shall have power, and shall be deemed always to have had power, to pay to the secretary of any sub-committee appointed under subsection (1) of this section, or under subsection (3) of the said section ten, such remuneration as may be approved by the Secretary of State, and to defray, in such circumstances as may be so approved, expenses incurred in The introduction of this new Subsection (5) here is necessary because the Bill was promoted in another place. It provides for the payment of secretaries of sub-committees.
