§ 90. Mr. R. A. Butlerasked the Under-Secretary of State for Burma whether his attention has been drawn to the announcement made by U. Saw on the subject of the administration of the frontier areas in Burma; and whether he will give an assurance that no change in the proposals in the White Paper on Burma are contemplated in this respect.
§ The Under-Secretary of State for Burma (Mr. Arthur Henderson)I have seen a Press report of a statement by U Saw on this subject. The policy of His Majesty's Government remains as stated in the last sentence of the White Paper of May, 1945.
