Mr. DugdaleThe future of this establishment, on which a considerable amount of public money has been spent, and which is now occupied by a naval care and maintenance party, is the subject of active consideration by the Admiralty, in consultation with the other authorities concerned. I will undertake to inform the hon. Member as soon as a decision is reached.
§ Mr. SpenceWill the hon. Gentleman bear in mind, in looking into this matter, that the new owners of this yard are ex-Servicemen who want to get a start in earning their living? Will he take that into consideration?
