HC Deb 28 May 1946 vol 423 c962
7. Squadron-Leader Sir Gilford Fox

asked the Minister of Works why the Grosvenor Square premises of the Italian Embassy, which have not suffered any material war damage, are being redecorated inside and outside; and for what purpose it is proposed to use these premises.

The Minister of Works (Mr. Tomlin-son)

I have made inquiries and I am advised that certain maintenance work is being carried out on these premises by Italian " co-operators " seconded to the Embassy for general duties.
