§ Mr. Kenneth LindsayI do not want to appear pompous, Mr. Speaker, but I would like to raise the question of a serious error in HANSARD in column 628. It is reported that I said, in an intervention during the speech of the hon Member for Nelson and Colne (Mr. Sydney Silverman):
That is the dishonesty of the Labour Party."—[OFFICIAL REPORT, 23rd May, 1946; Vol. 423, c. 628.]I think it will be within the recollection of my hon. Friend that what I said was:That proves the dishonesty of the Beveridge Plan.It is a material point, though purely personal. I am informed that without your permission, Mr. Speaker, I could not make the alteration. I raise the matter now in the hope that the matter may be quickly settled.
§ Mr. SpeakerI trust that this will clear up the matter quite satisfactorily.
