HC Deb 22 May 1946 vol 423 c314
Mr. William Teeling

Before you call the next Question, Mr. Speaker, may I ask your guidance upon a point of Order? On Friday, I put down a Question, which was accepted by the Chair, on the subject of the Polish Army and soldiers serving in it taking part in the Victory celebrations. I put the Question down to the Prime Minister. On Monday, I received a letter from the right hon. Gentleman stating that the Question was being transferred to the Foreign Secretary. Today, there is no reference by the' Foreign Secretary to this matter in the 17 Questions which have been put to him, but it appeared yesterday as Question 132, which was not reached, thus giving me no opportunity of asking any supplementaries. Would it not be right that this Question should be taken today?

Mr. Speaker

It would have been possible to arrange that. It seems to me that the hon. Member should consult the Table. Not having had notice that this question was to be put, I cannot answer offhand.
