asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the 200,000 tons of wheat which this country is sending to the Continent of Europe and which Canada and U.S.A. have promised to replace, will involve this country in a loss of dollar exchange.

Yes, Sir. I regret that a diminution of our dollar resources below the level at which they would otherwise have stood, will be an inevitable consequence of these arrangements.
