asked the Secretary of State for War whether he intends to increase the pensions of pre–1939 service pensioners, in accordance with the number of years that they have served since 1939, on the lines of the increases which have now been authorised for members of the R.A.F.

The scheme for the re assessment of service retired pay and pensions in respect of war service announced in my reply to the hon. and gallant Member for Knutsford (Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenport) on 15th April applied to all three Services, and I would refer my hon. Friend to that reply.
