HC Deb 25 March 1946 vol 421 c13
36. Wing-Commander Roland Robinson

asked the Minister of Supply and of Aircraft Production what is the present state of construction of the prototype of the Brabazon I; whether arrangements have now been concluded for the construction of a hangar at Filton of a size sufficient to accommodate this aircraft during its construction and for the extension of runways, so that the aircraft can take off with safety on its test flight.

Mr. Wilmot

The construction of the first prototype of the Brabazon I is going well and the assembly of the fuselage has been proceeding for several months. A hangar of sufficient size and a runway of sufficient length for this type of aircraft arc being built.
