HC Deb 12 March 1946 vol 420 c930
14. Mr. W. Shepherd

asked the Minister of Labour if he will give the House a résumé of the reports and representations which he has received on discipline in industry.

Mr. Isaacs

No, Sir. The position remains as stated in my reply of 13th February last.

Mr. Shepherd

Is the Minister aware that his reply did not indicate any serious dissatisfaction in the state of industry, whereas employers and industrialists had grave concern about it?

Mr. Isaacs

I cannot for one moment accept the latter part of the hon. Gentleman's statement because I met a representative gathering of employers last week and there was no complaint at all on that score.
