§ 69. Sir G. Foxasked the Assistant Postmaster-General as representing the Ministry of Information, if he will state the number of persons permanently employed by the B.B.C. on programme production; and the number of persons employed as domestic personnel, in 1939 and at the present time, respectively.
§ Mr. BurkeAt 26th January, 1946, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 3,214 persons employed in the programme services and 1,322 as house staff. The corresponding figures for April, 1939, were 849 and approximately 364, respectively.
