HC Deb 03 June 1946 vol 423 c1622
Mr. Eden

May I ask the Leader of the House if he will be good enough to tell us what are the Government's intentions about Business today in the event of their securing the suspension of the Rule for which they are asking?

The Lord President of the Council (Mr. Herbert Morrison)

Yes, Sir. We desire to obtain the Second Reading of the Hill Farming Bill and the Money Resolution; and the Committee and remaining stages of the Ministerial Salaries Bill, and I hope that there will be no objection to our taking the Committee and remaining stages of the British Museum Bill [Lords]. It is proposed to suspend the Rule but I hope that we shall obtain the Business without sitting unduly late.
